In the vibrant village of Klaru, located in the Mariat District, a group of young Indigenous Papuan farmers (OAP) has recently celebrated a significant achievement. They successfully harvested a crop of Shinta variety mustard greens, marking a milestone in their agricultural journey.

The young farmers, filled with enthusiasm and determination, carefully tended to their crops, applying the skills and knowledge they had acquired through training and mentorship. Their hard work paid off when they saw the healthy, lush mustard greens ready for harvest.

Once harvested, the mustard greens were sold at a price of approximately Rp15,000 per bundle. This achievement has not only inspired the young farmers themselves but has also sparked interest and excitement within the local community. Seeing the potential for sustainable agriculture, more young people in Klaru are considering farming as a viable and rewarding career path.
