The first step often becomes the most memorable story, especially when the courage to try begins to bring real results. This is what Kak Gufron, a young farmer from Sofifi, North Maluku, experienced when he decided to cultivate vegetables for the first time on his own land.
On a bright day in Sofifi, Kak Gufron successfully completed his first harvest of PM3000 cauliflower. The moment became a meaningful new experience after going through various learning processes since the beginning of planting.
The initial harvest produced around 7 kilograms of cauliflower, with a selling price of IDR 30,000 per kilogram. Although not all the crops have been harvested yet, this achievement became an encouraging first step that helped build Kak Gufron’s confidence to continue his cultivation activities.
“At first, I was still learning a lot because this was my first time growing vegetables. But when I saw the first harvest results, I felt happy and even more motivated to continue,” said Kak Gufron.
From planting to harvest, every stage provided new lessons for him. Starting from crop maintenance, keeping the plants healthy, to understanding field conditions, each experience became valuable preparation for the next planting season.
This first harvest is not only about the results achieved, but also about the courage to start something new and continue growing through the process.
