From June 24 to 26, 2025, Yayasan Bina Tani Sejahtera (YBTS) participated in Tani Fest 2025, an agricultural exhibition held as part of the 10th National Congress (Munas X) of the Indonesian Farmers Harmony Association (HKTI). The event took place at the courtyard of the Ministry of Agriculture Auditorium in Ragunan, Jakarta, and brought together HKTI members from across Indonesia, vocational agriculture students, farming communities, and various key stakeholders in the national agricultural sector.
During the event, YBTS collaborated with PT East West Seed Indonesia (EWINDO) to set up a joint exhibition booth. The goal of this collaboration was to introduce YBTS’s long standing farmer empowerment programs, engage with new audiences, and offer practical, educational, and relevant agricultural solutions, especially in response to the growing interest in urban farming.
Vegetable Seeds in a Personal Pouch: A Simple Way to Start Farming at Home
One of the main attractions of the EWINDO and YBTS booth was the sale of vegetable seed personal pouches, a simple yet impactful product designed for small-scale home farming. Each pouch contains high-quality Cap Panah Merah vegetable seeds, along with an easy-to-follow crop guide developed by YBTS.
The response to this product was overwhelmingly positive. Many visitors purchased the pouch as a way to begin growing their own food at home. Supported by crop guide from the YBTS team, the personal pouch served not just as a planting medium but also an educational tool promoting household-level food independence.
The YBTS-EWINDO Booth: Interactive, Friendly, and Full of Learning Moments
Throughout the three-day event, the YBTS booth emerged as a dynamic space for meaningful engagement. The team greeted visitors with enthusiasm, sparking discussion around agriculture, and opportunities for future collaboration. The booth attracted over 400 visitors, ranging from HKTI members and agricultural students to government representatives and the public.
In addition to selling products, the YBTS team distributed promotional materials, introduced the YBTS’ social media channels, and explained the various field programs that implemented across Indonesia. The booth served not just as a point of sale, but as an open and inclusive learning space for all.
Key National Figures Support the Spirit of Agriculture at Munas X
Tani Fest 2025 was further enlivened by the presence of prominent national figures who reaffirmed their support for the agricultural sector. Among them was the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Ir. Andi Amran Sulaiman, MP, who officially opened the congress and visited the exhibition booths. Also in attendance was Fadli Zon, Chairman of HKTI and Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, who led the congress and symbolized a renewed unity and strengthening of farmer organizations in Indonesia. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Rachmat Pambudy, Minister for National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, emphasized the importance of synergy between research institutions, farmer organizations, and field-based actors in building an innovative and sustainable agricultural future.
YBTS Continuing Its Commitment as Farmer’s Best Friend
YBTS’s presence at Tani Fest 2025 went beyond just participation in an exhibition; it reflected a long-term commitment to practical agricultural education and inclusive community engagement. With a friendly, hands-on, and solution-driven approach, YBTS continues to affirm its role as a farmer’s best friend to inspire a growing farming spirit across Indonesian society.
