YBTS’ experience in engaging women needs to be consistently implemented. This effort leads to a win-win result for women and women groups, particularly in regards to gaining income from farming or home gardening and also supplying vegetable nutrition for domestic households.

  • In 2021, YTBS has served 8.392 (42%) women farmers

  • Women Farmers are very active and engaged in vegetable farming activities, contributing  to the household income and home gardening

The number of Key Farmers (Demo Plot) is 57 women with tomatoes as the most cultivated plant. During the growing season until the end of harvest for 5 months, the average income of female farmers in an area of 500/m2 is IDR 9,990,000 (695 USD). In a sense, farmers who are just starting to learn to plant with YTBS already get a monthly income of IDR 1,998,000 (139 USD). The highest tomato harvest is by Mrs. Korwa in BIak Numfor Papua with a Yield of 1,479 kg/m2 and a profit of IDR 12,758,000 (888 USD).
