Crops Seeding Training in Belibak Village

In December 2022, Yayasan Bina Tani Sejahtera (YBTS) and Medco Energi, an oil and gas company, collaborated to provide training on the seeding process. Other than training, YBTS and Medco Energi also supported the local farmers in the form of fertilizers and seed donations. The collaboration was a part of the food security program by the local authority. The women from the family welfare community in Belibak Village, Pangeran Island, Anambas Island Regency, participated in this event.

YBTS’ Technical Officer, Nicko Fajar Reynaldi, shared his knowledge and skills about the modern crop seeding technique. Seeding is a preparation process before planting the seeds in the medium or ground. This process is critical to reducing the rate of crops failing due to the seed not being able to survive the condition of the land or medium.

The head of Belibak Village, Marzuki, also attended this event. He thanked YBTS, Medco Energi, local authorities, and everyone who supported the program. Marzuki hoped that the participants could immediately apply the knowledge to benefit the local community in Belibak Village.
