The women’s farmer group Marturia in Nonohonis Village, SoE City, East Nusa Tenggara is a novice farmer group. At first they only planted mustard on their land and did not understand how to plant the crop properly, therefore the harvest was not so good.
Then, the group met our Technical Field Officer of YBTS, Tuche Kitu, where they were taught about good agricultural practices (GAP). They learned how to choose good seeds, monitor the crops, and use pesticides safely and effectively. Even though their days are busy, both as housewives and farmers, they are still enthusiastic and enthusiastic about learning to farm.
After receiving training, KWT Marturia slowly started to grow the vegetables on their field. Currently, they are planting cayenne pepper varieties Dewata 43 F1 for the first time. With the assistance that they received and good care, they are not only hoping to get a good harvest and income, but also to fulfill their family’s daily nutritional needs.
