Fifteen years have passed since Yayasan Bina Tani Sejahtera (YBTS) was established and has grown alongside Indonesian farmers. From the very beginning, YBTS has remained committed to its mission: empowering farmers through access to superior seeds, intensive guidance, and the development of strong communities. Over the past one and a half decades, numerous challenges have been faced, valuable lessons have been learned, and most importantly—tangible impacts have been made among the farmers we assist.​

Celebrating 15 years of YBTS at EWINDO, Purwakarta — a moment of gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to farmers.

The highlight of this milestone is the All Team Meeting YBTS 2024, held from September 23–27, 2024, with the theme “Go To The Next Level.” This event is more than just an annual meeting; it serves as an important moment to celebrate 15 years of YBTS’s efforts, reflect on its journey, and reinforce the direction for the future.

Tumpeng ​Symbolic Cutting of the 15th Anniversary

YBTS marks 15 years at EWINDO with heartfelt appreciation and a symbolic tumpeng for the journey ahead.

The event began at PT East-West Seed Indonesia (EWINDO) in Purwakarta, where the entire YBTS team gathered to receive appreciation and guidance from YBTS and EWINDO leaders. This moment made it clear that over the past 15 years, YBTS has been an integral part of the ongoing movement to empower farmers. As a symbol of gratitude and celebration, a 15th Anniversary tumpeng was cut and shared, marking a significant achievement and reinforcing the commitment to move forward—years of YBTS’s efforts, reflect on its journey, and reinforce the direction for the future.

In-depth Discussion with EWINDO Experts

From seed quality to pest control, the YBTS team sharpened their skills through expert-led sessions with EWINDO team.

In the following days, the learning sessions enriched the team’s knowledge in areas such as seed quality, pest and disease control, as well as a deeper understanding of the challenges faced in farmer support. A key session was the in-depth discussion with EWINDO experts, focusing on strategies to improve the quality of assistance and addressing real-world challenges like pests, diseases, and seed management.

Internal Reflection and Sharing of Best Practices

A moment of connection and growth, as YBTS staff reflect on values and share what works best in the field.

Additionally, internal strengthening sessions, reflecting on organizational values, and sharing best practices from various regions became an essential space for mutual learning and growth.

Visit to EWINDO Facilities

The YBTS team had the opportunity to visit the EWINDO facilities, gaining in-depth insights into the processes involved in producing high-quality harvests. The visit provided direct exposure to the technology and innovations driving excellence in the agricultural sector, showcasing EWINDO’s commitment to quality.

Team Building Activities

Guided by the spirit of KAKA, YBTS celebrated its 15-year milestone in Cijeruk with joy, unity, and renewed commitment.

The 15-year journey was also celebrated in warm camaraderie at Cijeruk, Bogor. The team building activities were conducted with energy, creativity, and fun, guided by the values of KAKA (Awareness, Self-Actualization, Engagement, and Accountability) that form the core of YBTS’s work culture. This moment helped strengthen bonds, build trust, and unify the team’s spirit for the future.

90s Themed Gathering and Appreciation Night

Laughter, music, and retro style! YBTS closed its 15th anniversary with a 90s-themed celebration and a tribute to our dedicated team.

To close the event, a 90s-themed Gathering Night brought laughter, memories, and recognition. Staff who have dedicated five years or more to the organization were given appreciation for their contributions in shaping the past 15 years of YBTS’s journey.
