Yayasan Bina Tani Sejahtera (YBTS) was established to take part in the social and humanitarian fields, especially related to agricultural livelihoods. We work to help improve farmers’ livelihoods to make them more prosperous. The founding of the foundation is one of the corporate social responsibility strategies of PT. East West Seed Indonesia.

Learning Farm Ambon
The Learning Farm in Ambon serves as a hands-on training site where farmers learn, practice, and refine Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in a real field setting. Designed as an interactive space, it enables farmers to directly observe crop performance, test techniques, and exchange knowledge based on their own experiences.
At the core of this approach is a simple principle: farmers are not just beneficiaries, but active participants in the learning process. The Learning Farm creates an environment where knowledge flows both ways, combining technical guidance with local insight to ensure that practices are relevant, practical, and adaptable to farmer's context.
The Learning Farm is not just a place to learn. It is a space where farmers share, adapt, and grow together, with their needs at the heart of every activity.

Learning Farm Sorong
The Learning Farm in Sorong serves as an inclusive field-based platform where migrant farmers and Orang Asli Papua (OAP) come together to strengthen vegetable cultivation practices. In a context where many farmers still rely on traditional methods, the approach focuses on building upon existing knowledge, introducing practical improvements that are relevant, gradual, and adaptable to local conditions.
Through hands-on learning, farmers observe crop performance, test techniques, and exchange knowledge directly in the field. This collaborative environment allows technical guidance and local wisdom to complement each other, enabling farmers to make informed decisions and improve their practices. By placing farmers at the center, the Learning Farm supports more resilient, context-specific, and sustainable farming systems.
