Context and Project Objective
Knowledge Transfer & Extension – Central Papua, supported by East-West Seed Indonesia (Cap Panah Merah), aims to strengthen farmers’ capacity in implementing Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). Through this approach, farmers are expected to achieve improved and more sustainable income from horticultural cultivation.
In 2025, the program was implemented in Sorong, Manokwari, and Nabire. Through a range of activities, including farmer trainings, demonstration plots (demplots), group discussions, and Farmer Field Days (FFD), the program provides hands-on learning opportunities for farmers to apply improved cultivation techniqes and exchange successful practices.

Achievement
By 2025, the program reached 3,585 farmers, consisting of 1,990 men and 1,595 women, who received training and mentoring on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
