From a small plot of land in Southeast Aceh, Norma Simarmata shows how simple innovations, a willingness to learn, and consistent effort can lead to better harvests while inspiring more women to thrive in agriculture.

Throughout 2025, Yayasan Bina Tani Sejahtera (YBTS) strengthened women's empowerment in the agricultural sector as a primary driver of family economics. This initiative successfully reached 7,466 women, representing 46% of total participants. A key focus was providing training in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) to 3,745 individuals to enhance their technical capacity. The program successfully fostered independence through home garden optimization—where eggplant, tomato, and sweet corn emerged as leading commodities—and integrated nutritional aspects through the "Variety of Vegetable Dishes" guide and various harvest product creativity competitions.

Through biochar innovation and sustainable farming practices, Kursiyah, a woman farmer in East Java, has improved shallot productivity while mobilizing local farmers and strengthening community resilience.

In Lawe Tawakh Village, Bu Dewi shows how adopting simple Good Agricultural Practices, improving land beds, using better seeds, applying balanced fertilization, and monitoring pests, helped her achieve healthier plants and a 91-kg long-bean harvest in just four rounds, strengthening both productivity and her confidence as a woman farmer.

With improved farming practices through YBTS support, Mama Elisabet Fakdewer has increased her yields and income, completing 15 harvest rounds and planning to expand her cultivation area.
