Job description - General responsibility:
The Technical Hub Specialist is responsible for providing technical support, training, and guidance to field teams (Technical Field Officers) to ensure that project implementation follows agronomic standards and sustainability principles. This role acts as a bridge between field teams, project management, and partner institutions in terms of capacity development, good agricultural practices, and agricultural innovation. In order to succeed, the quality tech standard, protocol, guidance and materials are most needed of the project activities
- She/he will support practical training and trials in a specific location set up as a learning center for staff, and for farmers and other interested stakeholders.
- She/he will assist field staff on technical issues, and training (observation and feedback).
- She/he will contribute to data management system regarding demo plots, training and field days.
- She/he will participate in meetings and visits as per Technical Support Hub planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical training and mentoring to field teams and partners on sustainable horticultural practices.
- Develop and update training modules and technical guidelines in line with project needs.
- Support the development and maintenance of learning farms as centers for best-practice demonstration.
- Conduct monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of training activities and technical interventions.
- Act as a liaison with research institutions, extension services, and external partners to support innovation and knowledge transfer.
- Support the management of technical data and documentation related to field activities (demo plots, field days, training).
- Willing to travel frequently to various project sites, with a focus on NTB and NTT regions.
Skills and requirement:
- Hold a master's degree (S2) in agriculture (Crop Protection/Plant Pests and Diseases) or related / relevant field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in farmer training and technical assistance.
- Strong communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Proven ability in technical analysis, activity planning, and strong interpersonal communication.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team, and willingness to travel for assignments.
